Business Developers are Pleased: Brunswick is Lower Saxony's Number 1

Brunswick (Braunschweig) is the city with the highest quality of life and economic power in Lower Saxony (Niedersachsen). This is the result of a comparison of German cities published by “Wirtschaftswoche” magazine.
The study valued the attractiveness of the 50 largest cities in Germany according to five criteria: prosperity, job market, quality of location, economic and social structure as well as the local financial situation. Brunswick, ranked 18th place in Germany as a whole, has the leading position among Lowery Saxony's cities.
“We are, of course, very pleased with this result. But we still have to improve steadily in the future. Intensive business development as well as projects like running the start-up centers (Gründerzentren) and activities at Braunschweig Research Airport will contribute crucially to this,” explained Joachim Roth, one of the two CEOs of Brunswick's Business Development Agency, BRAUNSCHWEIG Zukunft GmbH. "We have supplemented our original business development activities – supporting local companies, attracting new businesses, assisting with the acquisition of commercial property and promoting the set-up of business activities – by helping to make Brunswick stand out," said Roth. "We are now also actively marketing Brunswick as the place to be, through PR work and representing the region in trade shows and events." While doing this, BRAUNSCHWEIG Zukunft GmbH is providing its service in close cooperation with regional and national organizations - planning and acting, working for the local economy – to exploit the enormous potential in Brunswick.
